Petty Minor in Possession of Alcohol (MIP)

Any person under twenty-one (21) years of age who possesses or consumes alcohol anywhere in the state commits illegal possession or consumption of ethyl alcohol by an underage person.

The penalties for MIP vary, and depend on the number of prior offenses.
